THE FR MATHEW PLAYERS
are back on the stage rehearsing for the upcoming production of The Playboy of The Western World. The Curtain will rise on Wednesday February 21st and run until Sunday February 25th nightly at 8pm. CONGRATULATIONS
to local girl Maeve Carroll and her teammates Lillian Quinn and Tori Kirwan in coming second in the senior Category of the BT Young Scientists Exhibition recently held in the RDS Dublin., with their project HURRY UP AND LEAF, which studied the acceleration of the decomposition of fallen leaves. Maeve is the youngest daughter of Annette and Pat Carroll, Garrandee, New Inn and sister to Rebecca and Eabha, both her parents and siblings are very proud of all her achievements. Maeve attends Cashel Community school and is currently in 5th year. She started the study of the project in Transition year, and it gave Maeve and her team the appetite to investigate more and head to Dublin with their project, where they reaped the rewards of coming second in the senior Category.
SINCERE SYMPATHY
Is extended to Emma Richardson, Marlhill, New Inn, her family and extended families on the passing of her brother Thomas (Tom) Childs, Galbally, Co Limerick who died recently. Beloved husband of Eleanor (née Hennessy, Mitchelstown) and much loved father of Elaine and Melissa. Sadly, missed by his heartbroken family, brother Richie, sisters Ann (Allen) Betty (Taylor) Catherine (Fitzgibbon) Emma (Richardson) Rita (Walsh) and Veronica (Childs) Elaine’s boyfriend Shane brothers in-law, sisters in-law, nephews, nieces relatives, neighbours and his many friends. BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition 2024
Pictured here are Lillian Quinn, Maeve Carroll, and Tori Kirwan, Cashel Community School, Tipperary at the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition 2024 in the RDS Dublin recently. Congratulations to the girls who came 2nd in the Senior Group award in the Biological and Ecological Sciences Category for their project “HURRY UP AND LEAF”- an investigation of accelerating decomposition of leaves on a lawn”.
