FIRST HOLY COMMUNION

Children in 2nd class will receive their First Holy Communion this Saturday April 27 at 11am in New Inn Church. May the sunshine on this happy and holy day.

 

WOMEN’S GROUP 

The Women’s Group had their AGM recently, the following officers were elected /returned, chairperson: Breeda Culleton, secretary: Marie Bergin, joint treasurers: Mary Frances Barron and Margaret Barron, assistant chairperson: Trish Hogan, organising committee: Trish Wilson, Carmel Cooney and Janette Blair.  New members are always welcome.  Upcoming event: “Solicitor’s talk” on Tuesday May 21 at 8 pm in the NICC. All are welcome.

 

KNOCKGRAFFON CARDS

Joint Winners on Wednesday April 17 with 11 games each PJ Boland / Joe Murphy and Roseanne Carew / Noel White. Table prizes to Tony Donaghy / ML O’Gorman and Jim Meskell / Tim Joe McGrath. Cards start at 8.30pm sharp and all are welcome.

 

THE NEW INN & DISTRICT CLASSIC & VINTAGE CLUB 

is gearing up for their annual Walter Cleary Memorial Run, which is scheduled for Sunday, May 5. The registration for the event will begin at 11am. This year, the club has included a special Junior Tractor, Car & Bike Run for children under the age of 12. The kids will be leading the opening of the Vintage, Tractor, Car & Bike Run through the village. It is mandatory for the children to be accompanied by an adult.

There will be refreshments available before and after the event. Additionally, tickets for a Raffle will be on sale after the run. The day will conclude with music and an auction at Barrons Pub, starting from 8pm.

The event serves as a fundraiser for the New Inn Parish Links group, Cashel Residential Older Persons Services, and the Cashel Day Care Centre for the Elderly. The club appreciates your support in making this event a success.

THE FRIENDS OF TIPPERARY FOOTBALL 

The Annual Golf Classic will take place in Dundrum Golf club on Friday May 3 and Saturday May 4. The champagne scramble event costs €160 for a team of 4. Tee Box sponsorship is available for €50. SINCEREST SYMPATHY

Sincere sympathy is extended to the family of the late Pat Barrett, Knockskaugh, Cahir who passed away peacefully, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his wife Noreen, he will be very sadly missed by his loving daughters Geraldine, Lorraine, Lisa and Siobhan, grandchildren Leanne, Caoimhe, Roisin, Cian, Ciara, Chloe, Cillian, Jamie, Cormac, Charlie and Fiadh, brothers and sisters Michael, Kathleen (Cummins) John, Tom, Willie, Philly (Fahey), Carmel (Byrne)and Joe, sons in law, friend Margaret, nephews, nieces, extended families, neighbours and his many friends. May he rest in peace.
