LAGGANSTOWN CHRISTMAS CRIB

Lagganstown’s 10th Annual Christmas Blessing takes place this Sunday, December 18 at 7:00pm. To help mark this milestone we are launching and selling Lagganstown 2023 Calendar and we will also have plenty of music, poetry & song. Santy is set to arrive in style (the sort of style that hasn’t been seen in these parts before and unlikely to be seen again) so it is set to be a most special and memorable one. Cuan Saor will also be in attendance, and we kindly ask you to support this great cause on the night. Cuan Saor, a women’s refuge centre based in Clonmel is a free and confidential service for women and children experiencing domestic violence. You are invited to donate some non-perishable food (e.g., tea bags, cereals, jams, canned food i.e., beans, peas, dried fruit, soup etc). All are welcome and your continued support is very much appreciated to keep this tradition of ours alive.

PARISH LINKS

This year Parish links are selling lines and you have a chance to win a beautiful hamper which is on display at The Shop, New Inn. Please support the lines for sale in The Shop or from any committee member. This is their only fundraising this year. The Parish Links committee organises the Christmas party for the senior members of our community each year.  In the past you have been very helpful, and your support is much appreciated. Date for your diary – the Christmas party will be held this year in New Inn Community Centre on Sunday January 8, 2023, starting at 12.30. This promises to be a great day with music being played by our own Eddie Golden. If there are any newcomers to the parish or if anyone knows anyone who would be interested in going to the Christmas party, please contact Esther on 0863583719 or Mgt on 052 7462132 or any committee member asap as invitations for the party will be sent in the post before Xmas.

Munster V Toulouse
A large New Inn crew travelled to Thomand Park Stadium to see Munster V Toulouse last Sunday December 11. Unfortunately it was NOT TO BE Munster’s Day. Thanks to Diarmuid Barron for coming out to meet everyone. Much appreciated. The young crew were delighted. Well done Diarmuid, you continue to do the village proud.
