New Inn Notes 06/04/2024

CONGRATULATIONS

to Eileen Hally, Farrankendry and the Ladies of the 1974 All Ireland Team who made an appearance on The Late Late Show GAA Special last Friday, April 5. This marks the first of many celebrations in this, the 50th year of the LGFA.

This team has the distinction of winning the first Ladies Football All Ireland final in 1974. Their historic victory over Offaly, fifty years ago, still stands as a significant win in the sport’s history.

We trust that the appearance on The Late Late Show was a delightful journey down memory lane for all of you. It’s always gratifying to see our sports heroes receive the recognition they deserve, particularly on such a significant anniversary.
