CORMAC O BRIEN
Words cannot express the shock & sadness that has passed through our parish as we heard of the untimely passing of young Cormac O’Brien from Knockgraffon. Cormac was a popular member of 5th class in New Inn Boys School. Rockwell Rovers GAA Club offers its sincere sympathies to his parents Donal & Michelle and brothers Joey & Daniel and all the Doherty and O'Brien families. We would like to say to all parents, if they or their children need any support, the Health & Wellbeing officers in the club will provide any help and assistance needed. We as a club will support the school with any and every help possible. Ar dheis dé go raibh a anam dílis.

CARING FOR CAHIR
Congratulations to local jeweller John Quirke on his excellent Caring for Cahir cycle/fun run around Cahir last Saturday in his pair of Guinness slippers as his chosen footwear for the day. The whole event was recorded by Brendan Kerins, highlighting, and promoting local businesses, shops, sports clubs, and facilities in Cahir town, in return for this exposure that business would donate to these worthy causes. It can be seen on YouTube. Commentary was provided by Hugh O’Donnell and Johnny Looby and PA system by Gerry Bell. It has exceeded all expectations and the GoFundMe will stay open till the end of September. Monies raised are going towards two local charities “Helping Mandy “and Cahir Day Care centre. Well done to An Garda Siochana for all their help in particular Superintendent Denis Whelan and Sgt Ray Moloney. Also, a big thank you to Cahir men’s shed for their help with the collection on the day.
