NEW INN WOMANS GROUP

On Saturday October 15, the New Inn Women’s Group is going on a day trip to Waterford! We will start the day in the fishing village of Dunmore East before heading for a tour of Waterford Crystal. We will end the day at Grow HQ where we will go behind the scenes of the TV Programme Grow Cook Eat and enjoy an exclusive garden tour, talk and a three-course meal prepared by head chef JB Dubois. Transport to and from Waterford will be arranged by the New Inn Women’s Group. Please contact Mary Frances (087 7595512) by September 24, you would like to go on this trip – all very welcome. Bowls starts up again after the summer break on Wednesday September 7 at 9.45am in NICC. All are welcome.

 

CLOTHES COLLECTION

New Inn community centre continues with its fundraising clothes collection and there has been a great response in the first week. The next dates for collection are today Wednesday September 7 & Thursday Sept 8, and the following 14 & 15 from 6pm to 7pm at the community centre, New Inn. Thank you for your support and taking the time and effort to support our fundraising drive as this will be our main fundraiser for the year.

TIPPERARY DRAW

The new 2023 Tipperary Draw restarts this month with the first draw taking place on Friday 30th September. With a prize fund of €500,000 (including 11 cars!) and 29 winners each month, you don’t want to miss out on your chance to win. This draw is a great source of revenue for the club so please support! Joint Winners last Wednesday August 31 were Billy & Vincent Phelan and Roseanne Carew & Mick Keane. Table prizes went to John Cooney/Liam Harty and Joe Ahearn/Eddie Grant. Well done all. Cards on every Wednesday night at the Old School, Knockgraffon at 8.30pm sharp. All are welcome.

 

DATE FOR YOUR DIARY –GAVIN MCGUIRK PERPETUAL MEMORIAL CUP

A two-day golf tournament has been arranged for Friday Sept 16 and Sat Sept 17 at Cahir Park Golf Club in memory of the late Gavin McGuirk. They are hoping to raise monies for the Irish Heart Foundation and Cahir Lions Club heart defibrillators. It will be a team and individual competition. Best two scores out of teams of four and individual stableford competition. ROCKWELL ROVERS GAA CLUB

would like to offer our sincere condolences to the Callery and Purcell families on the death of Tara (RIP), Ard Caoin, Clonmel. Tara’s son Séan was a player with the juvenile club before they moved. Our thoughts and prayers are with her children Séan and Ròise and the family at this difficult time.
