Track and Field County Athletics Finals will take place in Templemore on Bank Holiday Monday 6th June.  If anyone is interested from our area in entering any of the events or would like to get information on the events, please contact Helena Buckley on 087 2953718 by Monday May 23.

WOMEN’S GROUP

Trip to Bloom, Phoenix Park, Dublin on Thursday, June 2. Bus leaving school car park at 8am. €95 (for non-members) all-inclusive i.e., bus, bloom ticket and meal. Now in its 16th year, Bloom has become one of Ireland’s largest showcases celebrating the best of Irish horticulture, food and drink. Originally created to promote plants, garden design, horticulture and gardening, Bord Bia’s role in promoting food and drink has allowed Bloom to develop further. The show has grown into something which not only makes for a great day out, but also offers a huge range of practical information on everything from gardening, to growing fruit and vegetables, cooking and culture.

CONGRATULATIONS

To Katie Hennessey, Knockgraffon and Grace O’Dwyer, Locfedora from Rockwell Rovers Ladies Football who are on the panel of the U14 Tipperary football team. They defeated Meath in a hard-fought game last weekend and are now through to an U14 Gold All Ireland Final this Saturday week 21 May in Co Laois at 1.30pm Tipperary V Kildare. Best of Luck to both girls, they are doing their parish and county proud.

NEW INN VOICES

All roads lead to New Ross, Co Wexford this Sunday May 22 when our local parish choir “New Inn Voices” will take part in the AIMS festival of Choral & Sacred Music in the town. All members have been busy rehearsing these past few months under the guidance of the very accomplished Choir mistress Jayne McConnon. Best of Luck to all.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION

Congratulations to the boys and girls in 2nd class from New Inn boys and Scoil Mhuire Gan Smal who made their First Holy Communion last Saturday May 14 in New Inn church. Our thanks to Fr. Bobby for performing the service and to the teachers from both schools for preparing the children. Thankfully, the weather held up, the sun shone and a wonderful day was had by all!

ROCKWELL ROVERS CUL CAMP

Online booking for Rockwell Rovers Kellogg’s Cul Camps is now open. Please see the following link: https://www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie/booking/online/camp. It is on from Monday June 27 to Friday, July 1 from 10am to 2pm each day. Cost is €75 and this includes the delivery of the gear directly to your home which means that if there are any issues with your order you will have to deal directly with Kellogg’s Cul Camp. We will not be able to swap gear or get different sizes, so please be careful with your order. Cul camp is for primary school going children between the ages of 6 to 13.
