CAMOGIE CLUB CREATES HISTORY

The parish of New Inn and Knockgraffon is bursting with pride as their local U15 Féile girls’ team from Rockwell Rovers Camogie Club created history by winning the ‘C’ Final on Sunday, April 7 in Fethard.

The team showed remarkable resilience and tenacity in a nail-biting match against the formidable Ballybacon /Grange Camogie Club. The girls had previously triumphed over Drom Inch and Kilruane to secure their place in the final, demonstrating their skill and dedication to the sport.

Despite Ballybacon/Grange taking an early lead with a goal and a point, the Rockwell Rovers girls refused to be daunted. Instead, they rallied, showing true grit and determination in the face of adversity. Their hard work paid off, with the final score standing at a close 1-2 to 0-6 in their favor.

The victory has sent waves of excitement and pride through the parish of New Inn and Knockgraffon. The community has rallied around the girls, celebrating their achievement and looking forward to supporting them in June when they will represent Tipperary at the “John West” sponsored All Ireland Feile na nGael regional finals.
