Mai’s Café closed their doors for the final time on Friday 21 October 2022. After 6 years of being in Clonmel, local couple Shane & Kay McGonigle took the decision not to renew their lease at Market Place. They have met so many fantastic people during their time there and it has been their pleasure to serve all. They are now looking forward to an exciting new chapter and to meeting customers old and new at Cahir Farmers Market every Saturday. They bake such an amazing selection of wheat free/gluten free goodies and traybakes such as Carrot & walnut, lemon & poppy seed, caramel squares, Belgian chocolate brownies and of course their exceedingly popular Achill Sea salted caramel chocolate brownies and much more. They also make crepes to order with a variety of toppings. All perfect to go with their selection of teas, coffees, hot chocolates, mocha etc, they even have a selection of alternative milks to suit everyone. Fancy meeting a friend any weekend, well why not treat them to a mouth-watering sweet treat and hot beverage from Kay’s horsebox at Cahir Farmers Market. Then take a stroll around the beautiful inch field, a perfect Saturday morning. See you all bright and early from 9am-1pm. Please note any “in date” vouchers will be honoured at Kay’s horsebox any Saturday. Finally, they would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported them over the years.
