COURSING

It was great to see Powerstown Park full again last weekend for the National Coursing Meeting. A huge turnout from near and far to Clonmel resulted in a busy weekend for publicans and hoteliers across South Tipperary, badly wanted after a difficult two years. The icing on the cake for the weekend was seeing Tree Top Dano win the Kevin Smith Champion Stakes. The local dog is owned by Cahir’s David Lonergan, and trained by Kevin Barry of Rosegreen. A proud day for Bill & Breda, David Lonergan and all involved. Well done to the organisers on the four day event, we look forward to having you back in Clonmel next year.
