PARISH NOTES

Mass continues to be livestream on Tuesday & Thursday morning at 10am and weekend masses. Please click on the following link: https://churchcamlive.ie/newinnparish/ . Anniversary mass this Weekend is for Eileen Bell, Glenagat and the McLoughlin family, Woodenstown at 7.30pm on Saturday 30 January. Months mind mass for Paddy Lonergan, The Elms, Knockgraffon at 7.30pm, Saturday 30 January. Please note that anyone who has not collected their box (for forthcoming year) can do so from either church as both churches are open everyday for private prayer – any queries please contact any member of the Parish Council. ROCKWELL ROVERS GAA CLUB

Rockwell Rovers GAA club had their first AGM (senior & juvenile) by Zoom call last Sunday, January 24. This was history in the making. Well done to all involved, we had over 44 participants. Our adjourned meeting has been set for Sunday 7 February 2021. A link will be sent out nearer the time. Anyone with any queries can email secretary on [email protected].

 

EVERY STEP COUNTS

Every Step Counts Challenge is a virtual challenge, it is an ideal challenge for our club, our members & the wider community to get involved with during the current level of restrictions. Rockwell Rovers flying it on the leaderboard! Currently 4th club in Munster out of 110 clubs with nearly 5000km done in 10 days! Over 100 people have signed up to date on the “My Life” app on their phones! Keep walking, every km counts!! Well done to all, keep up the great work & still time for more to sign up and get active and enjoy this initiative.

Liam Sheedy Visited The O’Brien Home

Tipp senior hurling manager Liam Sheedy visited the O’Brien home, Knockgraffon over Christmas. Pictured here is Donal O’Brien with his wife Michelle and son Daniel. Daniel is seen here holding a Tipp T-shirt belonging to his brother Cormac who passed away during the year. It was very poignant and we would like to extend a big thank you to Liam Sheedy and all who helped to arrange this visit.

PARISH NOTES FOR THIS WEEK

Anniversary masses: Saturday 7.30pm – MaryAnn Clifford, James and Mary Clifford Newtown. Sunday 11am – Christopher & Bridget Heaney Garranlea and their sons Denis and Christopher. Christoir Gallagher, Dogstown. All masses will be livestreamed.

After Wednesday January 6, there will be no masses until Saturday night at 7.30pm. Morning mass will resume Tuesday morning at 10am. We thank everyone for the financial support over Christmas. We urge people who have not collected their boxes yet to please do from the two churches which are open each day for private prayer. Massive thank you to everyone who donated to our “go fund me”, we have hit our target! Every donation is greatly appreciated and will go a long way! We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated prizes for the draw, we would especially like to thank the Rockwell Rovers Senior Club for their very kind donation of a hamper.
