About Us

Plans are well under way to build Disabled WC area and ladies and gents toilets, showers and dressing rooms, with corridor to same. At present we have one ladies toilet, one gent’s toilet and no disabled toilets; We have no showers or dressing rooms. We need these facilities as a matter of urgency. The complex is the centre of sporting and social activity in the Community and we need to accommodate our physically challenged, people with restricted mobility, people with a disability, the elderly, Women, small farmers, unemployed, people living in remote and less accessible areas and traveller organisation. We need access within the centre to appropriate WC facilities. With provision of updated facilities our tennis club could compete at Inter Club, Munster and County level. We are prohibited from doing so because of lack of shower facilities. With new facilities we could see a two-fold increase in membership. Schools and Drama groups require modern facilities. The proposed project would improve the quality of life and wellbeing of all in a community that promotes and supports equality and inclusiveness for everyone. In our opinion our Project is compatible with the Social Development of LAG LDS.

In conjunction with the local GAA club a proposed pedestrian crossing at the entrance to NICC has been submitted to Tipperary Co. Council as part of their development programme which would be of benefit to NICC & GAA users.
